Under the supervision and participation of Jenin Agriculture Directorate, represented by the Mithalon Agriculture and Veterinary Department, the Agricultural Relief Association began implementing the first phase of distributing supplies for rehabilitating existing vineyards to beneficiary farmers in the southeastern areas of Jenin Governorate. This initiative is part of joint efforts aimed at supporting the agricultural sector and strengthening farmers' resilience.

The distribution targeted 18 farmers who own existing vineyards with a total area of 30.5 dunams, spread across five areas including the towns of Mithalon, Sanur, Al-Jadida, Al-Jarba, and Sir. The first phase included distributing the necessary metal components for constructing agricultural trellises, which are essential elements in developing vineyards and improving their agricultural management.

Jenin Agriculture Directorate emphasizes the importance of this intervention in supporting vine farmers and improving production efficiency. Agricultural trellises contribute to improved ventilation and sunlight exposure, and facilitate agricultural operations and harvesting, which positively impacts fruit quality and increases productivity. The project is expected to contribute to boosting the economic returns of beneficiary farming families, enhancing the competitiveness of grape production, and encouraging farmers to invest in developing their farms and improving their productive sustainability.

This activity falls under the "Improving Livelihoods, Food Security, and Sustainable Economic Growth in the West Bank and Gaza Strip – Palestine" project, which aims to enhance food security, improve the living conditions of farming families, and support sustainable agricultural development in targeted areas. This is achieved through the implementation of a range of activities and interventions that contribute to developing agricultural production and strengthening farmers' resilience on their land.
