South Hebron Agriculture supervised the distribution of agricultural equipment and tools to 22 farmers as part of a project to enhance land productivity and climate resilience through afforestation

The South Hebron Agriculture Directorate, in partnership with the Land Research Center and in cooperation with Beit al-Roush Al-Fouqa Village Council, distributed agricultural equipment and tools to 22 farmers in the area as part of the "Enhancing Land Productivity and Adapting to Climate Change through Afforestation" project.

The equipment and tools were delivered to the beneficiary farmers after they completed land reclamation and planting work. The project aims to support the sustainability of agricultural work, enhance farmers' ability to manage their land, improve its productivity, and increase its efficiency.

The South Hebron Agriculture Directorate emphasized that this intervention complements previous activities implemented within the project and aligns with the Ministry of Agriculture's strategy to strengthen farmers' resilience and empower them to invest in and preserve their land, particularly in rural and marginalized areas.

The project aims to increase the area planted with trees and enhance adaptation to the effects of climate change, thereby contributing to the protection of agricultural land and improving the environmental and productive situation, in addition to supporting farmers and providing the necessary resources for the sustainability of agricultural work. The implementation of this activity comes as part of a series of development interventions aimed at increasing the productivity of agricultural lands and promoting sustainable rural development, through providing technical and logistical support to farmers and strengthening partnerships between institutions working in the agricultural sector.
