Under the supervision of Jerusalem Agriculture and funded by the Humanitarian Fund, Agricultural Relief distributed 198 tons of barley to 165 livestock breeders across six local communities, including Jaba’ and Wadi Sneysel

Jerusalem Directorate of Agriculture, in partnership with the Agricultural Relief Association, distributed 198 tons of barley to 165 livestock breeders in several communities, including Ma'azi Jaba', Al-Nakhila, Al-Kasarat, Al-Hathroura, Bir Al-Maskub, and Wadi Sneysel. This initiative aims to support farmers' resilience and enhance the sustainability of the livestock sector.

This intervention is part of the project "Strengthening the Resilience of Livestock Breeders Affected by Settler Violence in the Central and Northern West Bank," funded by the Humanitarian Fund for the Occupied Palestinian Territory and implemented by the Agricultural Relief Association in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that this activity is part of its ongoing efforts to support farmers and livestock breeders in threatened areas, particularly in light of the challenges and violations they face, which directly impact their livelihoods and stability. The ministry notes that providing animal feed helps alleviate the economic burden on livestock breeders and preserve their livestock, thus strengthening their resilience on their land and mitigating the decline in agricultural and livestock production in those areas.

For its part, the Agricultural Relief organization emphasized the importance of these emergency interventions in supporting rural communities, affirming its continued work with partners to expand the scope of the aid and reach the largest possible number of those affected.
