Ministry of Agriculture: The second day of the third week of the national vaccination and tagging campaign raises the cumulative number to 63,470 .

The Ministry of Agriculture continued, for the second day of the third week, the national campaign to vaccinate and tag livestock and administer preventative vaccinations against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1). Veterinary teams carried out their fieldwork in the targeted areas, bringing the total number of vaccinations and taggings completed since the campaign's launch to 63,470. This is part of the Ministry's efforts to protect livestock, reduce the spread of epidemic diseases, and strengthen the animal health system in Palestine.

In Masafer Yatta, the Ministry's teams continued their campaign in the areas of Zif, Khashm al-Karm, al-Kharaba, and Hamida, where 1,900 head of livestock were vaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1), and 2,300 head were tagged as part of the National Livestock Tagging Program. Forty livestock owners benefited from the campaign's services.

In the northern Jordan Valley, veterinary teams continued the campaign in the areas of Deir, Tubas Plain, and Salhab, where 920 head of livestock were vaccinated and 850 head were tagged. Eight livestock owners benefited from the campaign's services, as part of the Ministry's efforts to expand veterinary coverage and strengthen the animal health system.

The Ministry of Agriculture affirms the continuation of the campaign according to the approved schedule and in cooperation with livestock owners in the various targeted communities. This contributes to strengthening prevention against epidemic diseases, improving the efficiency of the National Tagging System, and supporting the sustainability of the livestock sector, which positively impacts the protection of the national herd and enhances food security. Thus, the total number of vaccinations and tagging operations completed during the second day of the third week reached 5,970, including the vaccination of 2,820 heads against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1), and the tagging of 3,150 heads within the National Livestock Tagging Program, benefiting 48 breeders in the Masafer Yatta and Northern Jordan Valley areas, bringing the cumulative achievement of the campaign since its launch to 63,470 operations.
