The Undersecretary of the ministry of Agriculture Eng. Badr Al-Hawamdeh met with Aqraba Mayor Mr. Salah al-Din Jaber and Municipal Council members Ayman Al-Sharif and Mutaib Subaih to discuss the agricultural situation and needs in the town of Aqraba. The meeting was attended by the Governorates Affairs Coordinator, Eng. Samir Samara, and the Director General of Nablus Agriculture Directorate, Dr. Ziad Fadda.

Al-Hawamdeh received a detailed briefing from the municipal delegation regarding the town's agricultural status and issues requiring urgent intervention. It was agreed to increase the staffing at Aqraba agriculture office—including veterinarians, agricultural engineers, and administrative personnel—to ensure the provision of agricultural services on a daily basis throughout the week.

Agreement was also reached to urgently include Aqraba in the livestock tagging and vaccination project, which helps protect livestock and secure ownership rights. Furthermore, plans were made to urgently supply high-yield, improved olive saplings and to provide emergency relief interventions for livestock breeders in areas subject to Israeli attacks, thereby bolstering farmers resilience and ability to continue agricultural activities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Aqraba municipal delegation expressed its appreciation for the Ministry of Agriculture’s efforts to support the agricultural sector in the southern Nablus region. They commended the role of the agricultural offices that the Ministry to establish and strengthen in order to expand the scope of services provided to farmers across various villages and towns.
