Yatta: April 19, 2026
As a continuation of the "Ray of Hope for the Children of Palestine" project, the Palestinian Center for Economic and Social Development, in coordination with Yatta Directorate of Agriculture and Veterinary Services, implemented an activity to install solar-powered water pumps for beneficiaries from village councils and municipalities in the areas of Susya, Beit Amra, and Khirbet al-Miyah, in partnership with Al-Musafer Development Association and the Al-Jawaya Association.
The distributed package included the provision of several solar-powered water pumps, which will contribute to improving water use efficiency and reducing operating costs for farmers, especially in areas suffering from resource scarcity.
This overall project aims to support local farmers and promote sustainable agriculture, contributing to food security and improving living standards. This intervention serves approximately 15,000 people in these communities.
These efforts are part of the joint cooperation between the supporting organizations and the Directorate of Agriculture, within the framework of supporting the resilience of citizens and promoting sustainable agricultural development in the Yatta area.
