The technical committee at the Ministry of Agriculture, in cooperation with staff from Nablus Directorate of Agriculture, received (11) agricultural projects in the field of livestock production, with a total value of approximately (500,000 NIS). These projects fall under the European Union-funded agricultural assistance program and are being implemented in several villages in Nablus Governorate, including: Salem, Deir al-Hatab, al-Nasariya, Burqa, and Deir Sharaf.
The handover process was carried out in the presence of the specialized technical committee and in coordination with the accredited auditing company. The projects were verified to conform to the approved technical specifications and to meet all the required conditions and standards before final approval.
The received projects encompassed a number of activities supporting the livestock sector, including the construction and rehabilitation of sheep pens, the provision of feed troughs, milking equipment, and agricultural machinery, as well as supporting farmers with production inputs that contribute to improving the quality and efficiency of their production. The Ministry of Agriculture affirms that these projects are part of its ongoing efforts to bolster the resilience of farmers and support the livestock sector, particularly in rural areas, thereby contributing to improved income sources and food security.
It also notes that the EU-funded agricultural assistance program is a key driver for supporting small farmers and enabling them to remain on their land. This is achieved through the implementation of high-quality projects that meet their needs and align with the priorities of the agricultural sector in Palestine. The projects, valued at 500,000 shekels, are funded by the European Union.
