Technical committees, represented by the Central Acceptance Committee for the EU-funded Agricultural Assistance Program, began field visits to monitor agricultural projects implemented for farmers in the governorates of Tulkarm, Jenin, Qalqilya, and Salfit. This is part of the Ministry of Agriculture's ongoing field monitoring of development project plans and ensuring adherence to approved technical specifications.
The visits included 26 farms across the four governorates. The committee reviewed the progress of the implemented projects and verified that the development project plans were being implemented according to the agreed-upon terms and standards, in line with the Ministry of Agriculture's objectives and strategy to support the agricultural sector and enhance its sustainability.
During the visits, several agricultural projects were accepted, including projects for raising laying hens, pigeons, and rabbits; the construction of agricultural sheds; sheep breeding; the provision of feed, straw, and troughs; the construction of greenhouses; the implementation of irrigation networks; and the provision of a main water line serving the agricultural projects. The technical committees confirm that these visits come in the context of ensuring the quality of implementation and achieving the desired goals of the program, which contributes to strengthening the resilience of farmers, raising production efficiency, and improving the level of income in the targeted governorates.
