The Ministry of Agriculture continues to implement the national campaign for livestock vaccination and tagging, including preventative vaccination against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1). The total number of vaccinations and taggings completed since the campaign's launch has reached 48,200, as part of its efforts to protect livestock, reduce the spread of epidemic diseases, and strengthen the national livestock tagging system. In Masafer Yatta, teams from Yatta Agriculture and Veterinary Directorate carried out the campaign in the areas of Umm al-Khair al-Balad, Hamida, and Fateh Sadra, where 1,600 head of livestock were vaccinated and 2,000 head were tagged. Fifty-five farmers benefited from the campaign.
In Tubas and Northern Jordan Valley Governorate, teams from Tubas Agriculture and Veterinary Directorate continued the campaign in the areas of Salhab and the Tubas Plain, where 800 sheep were vaccinated and 800 head were tagged. Six farmers benefited from the campaign.
Thus, the total number of head vaccinated against foot-and-mouth disease (SAT-1) on the fourth day of the second week reached 2,400, and 2,800 head were included in the national livestock tagging program. The Ministry continues to implement the campaign according to the national plan in various governorates and targeted areas, contributing to the protection of livestock, strengthening the resilience of livestock breeders, and maintaining Palestinian food security.
