The Ministry of Agriculture held a meeting of its staff, chaired by Minister Slaimiya, with the participation of the Deputy Minister, Assistant Undersecretaries, Directors Generals, Heads of Units, and the Head of the Agricultural Lending Institution. The meeting focused on ways to provide agricultural services under the current difficult circumstances and ensure their continued availability to farmers efficiently.
During the meeting, Slaimiya emphasized that the current situation requires strengthening national unity and teamwork. He stressed the need for everyone to work together constructively to bolster the institution's resilience and enhance its field presence. He explained that the challenging circumstances should serve as an impetus to cultivate a sense of belonging and motivate individuals to strive for greater productivity and output.
The meeting addressed the responsibilities of the various teams, discussing mechanisms for organizing work and implementing shift schedules during the state of emergency. This aims to guarantee the continuity and uninterrupted provision of agricultural services, while emphasizing the importance of employee cooperation regarding attendance and transportation arrangements to serve the public interest. Salimieh indicated that the Ministry is continuing to implement its projects supporting farmers, confirming that the Ministry has secured numerous agricultural projects for 2026. He called for maintaining the momentum of work and the achievements realized on the ground, despite the challenges.
He emphasized that the Ministry's top priority is strengthening food and water security, as they are two fundamental pillars of national resilience. He affirmed that the Ministry of Agriculture will remain a national institution operating with the same dynamism, dedication, and productivity.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Slaimiya stressed that this stage represents a period of national unity requiring concerted efforts and enhanced institutional integration to protect the agricultural sector and support the resilience of farmers in all regions.
