Jenin: September 8, 2026

Coinciding with Minister Slaimiya's visit to Jenin Governorate, Jenin Directorate of Agriculture implemented an urgent relief intervention in the towns of Zabuba and Khirbet Masoud, as part of the Ministry's emergency response program. This intervention aimed to support farmers and livestock breeders and bolster their resilience in light of the difficult conditions and attacks targeting agricultural areas.

The intervention included the distribution of 31 large bales of hay in Zabuba and 12 large bales of hay in Khirbet Masoud (each weighing 450 kg), in addition to six water tanks. These aids benefited 37 farmers, helping them meet some of their needs and providing essential supplies to enable them to remain on their land and maintain their livestock.

This intervention is part of a series of urgent responses implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture in Jenin Governorate. These responses include providing agricultural, water, and relief supplies to farmers in affected areas, contributing to mitigating the effects of attacks and measures targeting the land, farmers, and their livelihoods. The Ministry affirms its continued monitoring of the needs of farmers in various areas of the governorate, and the implementation of possible interventions within the available resources, in coordination with Jenin Agriculture Directorate and local authorities, in order to strengthen the resilience of farmers, preserve their lands and livestock, and support their ability to continue agricultural work.
