Ministry of Agriculture: Participated in an official visit to Al-Khan Al-Ahmar with a governmental, diplomatic, and media delegation in support of Bedouin communities and in rejection of displacement plans.

The Ministry of Agriculture, represented by Undersecretary Engineer Bader Al-Hawamdeh, participated in an official visit to Al-Khan Al-Ahmar community east of Jerusalem. The visit included government officials, ambassadors, consuls, representatives from several foreign countries, and Arab and international media outlets. Its aim was to highlight the suffering of Bedouin communities and bolster efforts to support their resilience in the face of displacement plans and ongoing violations.

The delegation observed the living conditions of the residents and listened to their demands and needs. The tour also included a visit to the town of Abu Dis, where they explored its heritage and cultural sites. A meeting was also held with representatives of local authorities and citizens to discuss the challenges facing Jerusalem Governorate and its Palestinian communities.

During the visit, Al-Hawamdeh emphasized that Jerusalem and the surrounding Palestinian communities are a top priority within the Ministry's programs and plans, in accordance with the directives of the Minister of Agriculture, Professor Riziq Slaimiya. He stressed that the city will remain a central focus in all agricultural and rural development initiatives, and that the Ministry continues to support the resilience of citizens and Bedouin and rural communities, strengthening their ability to remain on their land.

This visit comes within the framework of national and international efforts aimed at protecting Palestinian Bedouin communities and strengthening their resilience in the face of ongoing displacement and targeting policies.
