The Agricultural Engineers Syndicate held a professional oath-taking ceremony for new agricultural engineers today, under the patronage and in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Professor Rizq Slaimiya, and with the participation of the 14th Syndicate Council and a large number of engineers.

The ceremony opened with a speech by the Head of the Agricultural Engineers Syndicate, Engineer Samer Farah, who welcomed the attendees and reviewed the most prominent achievements of the Syndicate's council during its current term. He highlighted the significant steps taken to develop the profession and enhance the status of agricultural engineers, as well as the expansion of training and qualification programs and the improvement of the skills of new graduates. The Head of the Syndicate emphasized the depth of the partnership and effective cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture, praising the supportive role of the Minister of Agriculture, Professor Rizq Salimiya, in backing the Syndicate's efforts and strengthening its presence in various professional and national issues, thus contributing to serving the agricultural sector and bolstering the resilience of farmers.

For his part, the Minister of Agriculture delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the Palestinian agricultural sector faces grave challenges in light of the ongoing attacks by the occupation army and settler groups, and the accompanying targeting of land, farmers, and water resources. He stressed that the defining issues of the current stage are survival, food security, and water, as these are the pillars of steadfastness and resilience on the land. Slaimiya also addressed a message to the newly graduated agricultural engineers, urging them to persevere and strive to forge their professional paths, drawing strength from their deep connection to the land and dedicating themselves to its development through knowledge and action. He emphasized that agricultural engineers form the first line of defense for food security and resource sovereignty.

Slaimiya noted that the Ministry of Agriculture is currently implementing numerous development projects across various governorates, including the MAB II projects, which will encompass approximately 350 development initiatives. These projects are complemented by a range of programs and initiatives aimed at supporting farmers, bolstering their resilience, and enhancing agricultural production.

The ceremony included the administration of the professional oath by the new engineers, a short film showcasing the achievements of the 14th Syndicate Council, and the graduation of the "Prosper" course. The event concluded with the distribution of professional practice certificates to the graduates, amidst an atmosphere of pride and honor in joining this event.
