Salfit Directorate of Agriculture, in cooperation with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), conducted a workshop targeting 20 orchard farmers in Wadi Qana (Deir Istiya) as part of the EVAP3 project.
The workshop covered the fourth step of the technical training series, which focuses on identifying the farmers' training and extension needs and collaboratively developing a collective extension plan that addresses their actual requirements.
During the session, key extension needs and technical priorities requiring training were identified, with the aim of enhancing crop quality, increasing productivity, and improving farmer profitability.
An agreement was also reached on schedules for specialized training programs covering various production and technical aspects; these initiatives are designed to maximize the farmers' benefit from agricultural extension services and contribute to the development of the orchard sector in Wadi Qana.
