Yatta: September 30, 2026
Yatta Agriculture and Veterinary Directorate, in cooperation with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), conducted a training workshop titled "Farm Record Keeping."
This workshp was part of the "Project for Improving Extension for Value-Added Agriculture" (EVAP) and was attended by 15 farmers from Yatta, As-Samu', and Al-Rihhiya areas.
The workshop addressed the importance of maintaining and organizing farm records and their role in improving farm management. It covered the documentation of data related to agricultural operations, inputs, costs, production, sales, and revenues—information that helps farmers assess actual farm performance and improve planning as well as agricultural and economic decision-making.
The workshop also focused on developing participants' skills in recording and updating farm data, utilizing this information to compare performance across seasons, enhancing resource-use efficiency, and boosting productivity and profitability in a manner tailored to the realities and needs of farmers in the target areas.
This workshop is part of the Ministry of Agriculture’s efforts to develop extension services and strengthen the technical and administrative capacities of farmers. These initiatives contribute to supporting the sustainability of agricultural projects, developing the agricultural sector, and enhancing its productive capacity.
