The Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem (ARIJ) and the Nuba Municipality, under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and with support from the World Food Programme (WFP), distributed agricultural equipment to farmers benefiting from the “Developing Livelihoods and Climate Change Resilience in Palestine – Phase VI” project in the town of Nuba, north of Hebron.
The project aims to empower farmers economically and enhance the livelihoods of impoverished families in the local community. Sixteen farmers benefited, establishing 13 home gardens and three hydroponic systems.
The agricultural equipment distributed to each farmer included an irrigation network, a hoe, a rake, a harrow, a water pump, a sprayer, hoses, a fertilizer tank, and two water tanks. This equipment is part of the project to establish greenhouses that contribute to increased agricultural production and improved family incomes.
This activity is part of the joint efforts between the Ministry of Agriculture and its partners to support farmers in marginalized areas and strengthen their resilience through sustainable production projects.
