The Technical Committee in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Agriculture Directorate, in cooperation with Engineer Muhammad Sawafta from the auditing company contracting with the European Union, received 11 agricultural projects for a number of beneficiaries within the agricultural aid program in several locations in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate.
The projects were received in the towns of Beitunia, Deir Ibzi', Bil'in, Ras Karkar, Rantis, Deir Ammar and Bitello, despite the difficult conditions and obstacles imposed by the occupation, including the closure of the gates and the difficulty of movement via alternative roads.
The projects received included the supply and purchase of 153 heads of goats and sheep, in addition to 25 tons of fodder, which included barley, bales, and sheep fodder with a protein content of 18%, in addition to establishing zinc barracks for raising sheep and supplying them with iron feeders.
The projects also included providing beneficiaries with some equipment that supports the livestock breeding sector, including an electric motor and supporting equipment that helps farmers improve production conditions and develop their farms.
The total value of the projects received is 390,000 shekels, as these projects are part of the efforts made to support livestock breeders, enhance the resilience of farmers, and contribute to developing the agricultural sector and improving production in Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate.
